Hayden Paddon

New Zealand rally driver Hayden Paddon is one of the latest promising young stars emerging from New Zealand. Brought up around a Motorsport orientated family, Hayden quickly adapted the thrill for speed and from the age of six put that in to practice in go-karts. His first rally was at the age of fifteen driving his fathers Toyota Corolla. At only the age of twenty-one, Paddon has already achieved a lot, most recently becoming the youngest ever New Zealand Rally Champion, tying that series up with one round to go in 2008.

Prior to that the team took their debut rally victory by winning the 2007 APRC Rally of Whangarei, and although not registered at the time for the APRC bet all the international and local teams. Hayden's goals have always been to become a World Rally Champion, something he firmly believes that he can achieve with a lot of hard work and support.

A crucial partnership that has helped in Hayden's success is his team and co-driver John Kennard. A former Subaru World Rally Team and Mitsubishi USA team co-ordinator, John has had many years experience at the peak of the sport, that same experience that he uses to help Hayden's learning curve and journey to the top.

For 2009 Team Green are working towards a full Asia Pacific Rally Championship campaign, running their own car as well as another car for the defence of their New Zealand title. Expect Hayden and the team to be fast despite facing new events and challenges.
