Gaurav Gill wins 2008 Rally Indonesia


Gaurav Gill from India is the only driver doing both the Asia Pacific Rally Championship and the Production World Rally Championship (P-WRC) and with 12 events scheduled for 2009 will be a real threat for the drivers title.

 

Gill showed his potential in 2008 by winning Rally Indonesia in a straight fight with team-mate Taguchi and eventual champion Cody Crocker. Gill with-stood enormous pressure from both of his more experienced rivals and went on to win first major international event for himself and India.

With Glen MacNeall calling the notes, Gill will drive for the MRF Tyres team in a brand new Evo 10 Mitsubishi Lancer built by Race Torque Engineering.
