A reminder of Closing dates for registration as detailed here. Note that the close of registration for APRC, Asia and Pacific Cups and Junior Trophy is the same as close of entries for the relevant events. Registration forms are available on the APRC website www.fiaaprc.com  or I can send you a copy on request.

APRC - Malaysian Rally - Thursday 10 March 2011

Asia Cup - Malaysian Rally - Thursday 10 March 2011

Pacific Cup - Rally Queensland - Thursday 21 April 2011

Junior Trophy - Malaysian Rally - Thursday 10 March 2011

There is provision for registering new competitors (entrants), drivers and co-drivers under Art 5.7

Please note that any registered competitor or team that wishes to nominate drivers for the Teams Trophy should do so at the time of entering the relevant event. Please send your nominations to the APRC secretariat and myself prior to each event.

Malaysian Rally

Supplementary Regulations are due to be available this week. Please continue to check the event website www.malaysianrally.com for further details.

If you have special requirements for the layout of your service area, please make this known to the organizers, as soon as possible. We are expecting more teams and containers this year so space allocation will be important.

At this time I am planning to have import customs inspections to take place at the Angsana SP area (similar location to 2010) on Monday 28 March. If any teams require an earlier inspection, please let me know urgently so we can plan for this.

International Rally of Queensland

Rally Guide 1 is now available on the event website www.rallyqueensland.com.au

Please note that the Rally HQ and preferred accommodation hotel will be based at the Rydges Oasis Resort in Caloundra. Details are in RG 1.

There will be an area at the hotel for teams containers to be located and unloaded. More details will be available soon. As in previous years AQIS and Customs inspections will take place in or near the port of Brisbane.

While many of you will be aware of the severe flooding in many parts of Queensland, including the Mary Valley, and more recently Cyclone Yasi, you will be pleased to know that the organizers have assured me it will be business as usual for the rally.

APRC 2011 Regulations

2011 Registration forms are available on the APRC website www.fiaaprc.com

I am expecting final confirmation of the 2011 APRC Regulations from the FIA within the next few days. Once available I will send out a copy via these email updates.

Fuel Supply

As in previous years I will again be providing a fuel supply to competitors at each event of APRC 2011, subject to demand. I am currently working on plans to have fuel at our first event in Malaysia

Due to the nature of this, as a dangerous goods item, I must make plans well in advance of the actual event. If you are still considering your involvement in APRC or the Cups in 2011, please let me know your anticipated fuel requirements for the first 2 events at least, so I can ensure we have supplies available, and that shipping is in place to get it to event on time. Ideally I would like to know your anticipated requirements for the full season so I can ensure supplies are available, as required.

Close off date for orders for Malaysia is 20 February. Dates for orders may change subject to shipping schedules, so please place your orders as soon as possible.

Some important reminders for shipping and contents of your containers

Following Malaysian Rally we will be moving to Australia and New Zealand, both of which have very strict quarantine regulations for imported goods, on carnet or otherwise. Please note my following recommendations. If any of these items are found in the containers, not only is it potentially expensive to deal with the items, it could also affect the smooth and quick import and clearance process.

  • No fuel to be stored in team containers for shipping
  • No food items of any description, including pre-packaged dried foods in team containers
  • No used tyres in team containers

As always, if you have any questions on any of the above information, any aspect of APRC generally or freight and logistics for the championship, please feel free to contact me on any of the below contacts.
