Beating the tricky gravel terrains Pune based race driver Sanjay Takle and his navigator Musa Sharif raced to victory at the A6 class race on Sunday evening at the fourth leg of the Asia Pacific Rally Championship held at Johor Bahru, Malaysia. 

Driving his Proton Satria car, Sanjay Takale became the only rallyist in the race with 100 percent finish record, at the end of the fourth round. He drove 3 hours 47 minutes and 58.8 seconds to win the A6 class. 

The difficult driving conditions and drivers being unaware of the geography of the terrain lead to best drivers from Europe, Australia, China, New Zealand crashing out of the race, including Team MRF's Gaurav Gill.

Inspite of winning the A6 category Takle however finished third at the podium after Karamjit Singh of Malaysia and Akira Bamba of Japan in the overall 2Wheel drive category. 

Takale who drives under the banner of MRU Motorsports- Indian Dreams India, feels the championship for the overall category has now opened up as any of the top three teams could win it from here on. With just two remaining legs in Japan and China it could be anybody's game, here on. 

“We need to now make sure we come up with the same set of results at the Rally in Japan from September 14-16,” Takale said after his victory. After 4 rounds Takale is 3rd in the points for the two-wheel drive cup and 5th in the Asia Cup.
